Great podcast as usual 🙂
Just want to offer a different perspective on something you all mentioned about response to podcasts being fewer than response to written posts. I can only speak for myself when I say that it’s easier for me to read and respond to a post than to listen to a 60 minute podcast. Because of my career and outside interests, I spend about 75% of my waking hours either reading or writing. There’s no way I can listen to someone’s podcast AND read other people’s words or write my own. It can be a distraction.
With that said, I do agree that if people WANT to listen, then they will. They will make time for it just like they do anything else. So, I purposely plan to listen while I’m walking or doing whatever other exercise.

In your opinion Sista Garland, how can we better get, as well as keep peoples attention? That’s my biggest conundrum. I’m trying to adapt accordingly, without losing my value system

I’m so glad you asked! I think the podcasts are god and I like how now you have the minute markers so people can forward to wherever they might be interested. Have you all thought about shortening them to like 30 mins? I noticed Eddie’s aren’t always as long as yours. That’s just a suggestion for people who might not have an hour but want to hear what you have to say.

…one more idea, but you know it’s just a thought. You know how some of your posts are about starting your own business and then sometimes it’s about the Pistons? Maybe the 30 minutes could be the same. But again…it’s just a thought. Okay. I’m done lol

Like if you happen to shorten them then you talk about just the pistons or sports in that one. And maybe the next podcast talk about black people owning businesses or whatever…the same way you do when you write
